Room 224 is a newly renovated room at The Lodge at Hot Lake Springs: a historic brick hotel on the edge of a lake steaming with hot springs. Enjoy relaxing in the five shared hot springs soaking tubs that overlook “Hot Lake” and the mountains. Room 224 is a one room suite with a King bed, a corner shower in the room and a private half bath with sink and toilet.
Although we have renovated the rooms, they are still authentic and historic. The windows and doors are over a hundred years old, they don’t work as well as new. Sound travels in these old buildings, so use your quiet voice at night and early mornings. The beautiful historic elevator isn’t functional, so be prepared to walk up a flight or two of stairs. The geothermal radiators and pipes can be hot to the touch and sometimes noisy. We don’t have central AC, TV’s or Phones (but there is wifi). What we do offer is relaxation in thermal hot springs to your heart’s content and a clean and comfortable room.
We’re located in rural Eastern Oregon, 5 miles from Interstate 84. La Grande has been described as a “hidden gem”, which offers up an authentic experience in an area that hasn’t been “discovered” by most. If you decide to venture farther, we are a short day trip away from Pendleton, Baker City and Joseph.
